The Guest Book Project

The Guest Book project is a collection of pieces comprised of ambient music and spoken text. The text is collected from the pages of guest book's that I've come across in my travels. My aim is to find entries that are personal, vulnerable and honest, render them anonymous and speak the text over original music.  

"Wharf Rat"

"Wharf Rat" with text sourced from a guestbook entry penned by an anonymous and recent prison-parolee. The author's words are an earnest reflection on free time, solitude and unlocked doors during a post-prison visit to an off-the-grid cabin in Vermont. The text of "Wharf Rat" will be spoken over pre-recorded and live music performed by Benjamin Mayock and John Hastings.
